To celebrate the 21st VRA International Rally, we chose Mrągowo,
a scenic region — the perfect place to mark this important motorcycle event.
The Masurian Lake District
Located in northeastern Poland, it is a captivating region famed for its over 2,000 post-glacial lakes, dense primeval forests, and pristine natural beauty. Often called the “Land of a Thousand Lakes,” it is a dream destination for motorcycle enthusiasts. Riders can enjoy smooth, winding asphalt roads through lush canopy tunnels, picturesque views of expansive water basins, and uniquely quiet routes. The region offers an ideal blend of gentle curves for relaxed cruising, well-maintained scenic pathways along lake shores, and accessible stops at historic castles and lakeside towns, making it one of Central Europe’s most rewarding touring grounds for motorcycling.
During the trip to Masuria, it is worth visiting an old monastery and the historic village of Wojnowo by Lake Duś, showcasing traditional wooden architecture and the unique heritage of the Russian Old Believers, Boyen Fortress, and the Swing Bridge in Giżycko. For the biggest history enthusiast, Wolf’s Lair in Gierłoż (near Kętrzyn) and Mamerki Bunkers – former German quarters from the 1930s.
Attractions
During our stay, we planned a motorcycle trip to Mikołajki, approximately 20 km away, where we invite you for a two-hour cruise around four Masurian lakes. Moreover, we plan to organize games and competitions, such as the traditional motorcycle beauty contest. We also encourage you to use the hotel’s entertainment center and swimming pools.
The location
Mrągowo is a picturesque town located in the central part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, nestled between Lake Czos and Lake Juno in the heart of the Masurian Lake District. The town is widely recognized as a vibrant open-air cultural hub, famous for hosting major national events at its lakeside amphitheater over Lake Czos, including the iconic “Piknik Country” festival, the Masurian Cabaret Night, and the Festival of Borderland Culture. Beyond its lively event calendar, Mrągowo offers beautifully landscaped promenades along the shore, the Wild West theme park “Mrongoville”, and a charming historic center featuring a 19th-century town hall and traditional brick townhouses.
The location
Event participants will enjoy relaxation at the four-star Mrągowo Resort & Spa hotel. The facility is located directly on the shore of Lake Czos, next to the amphitheater. The guests will be accommodated in comfortable, air-conditioned double or triple rooms with separate beds equipped with: bathrooms, towels, hair dryers, refrigerators, TV and tea and coffee making sets.
In addition, the participants will have at their disposal:
- restaurant (buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner included),
- lake beach, marina and swimming area,
- wellness area with swimming pools, jacuzzi and saunas,
- SPA center (additionally paid)
- Water equipment rental,
- Billiards, bowling and darts,
- Basketball and volleyball court.
Stays with camping vans and tents are not possible!

The accommodation includes breakfast and dinner. Commemorative T-shirts (20 EUR) can be purchased. The order must be placed in advance.
